Event Details

The Comprehensive Advanced Palliative Care Education (CAPCE) Program, established in 2002 by the Palliative Pain and Symptom Management Consultation Program of Southwestern Ontario, is meticulously designed to align with the Model to Guide Hospice Palliative Care, based on National Principles and Norms of Practice and The Ontario Palliative Care Competency Framework. Renowned for its commitment to high-quality hospice palliative care education, CAPCE has been updated in 2023 to incorporate best practices and evidence-based strategies in hospice palliative care and knowledge translation, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of participants effectively.

Upon full engagement and completion, participants will emerge as competent hospice palliative care resource professionals, equipped to enhance skills among peers. It’s important to note, participation in CAPCE signifies meeting course objectives rather than conferring a professional designation.

Registration and Sessions Currently, all CAPCE sessions are conducted virtually. Registration is open across all regions.

  • Completion of the Fundamentals program within the last seven years (2017 – 2024).
