HPA-OHT Voices Heard in Shaping Ontario’s 2026 Budget

Target Audience & Estimated Reading Time: Member organization leaders | 2 minutes

Why it matters

On November 21, the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Finance, Michelle Cooper, hosted a community budget consultation to hear directly from Ontarians as the government prepares the 2026 Ontario Budget.

Members of the HPA-OHT were invited to share ideas on the key priorities for the province’s next budget, including protecting Ontario’s economy and workers, creating more jobs, keeping taxes low and costs down, delivering better services, and advancing critical infrastructure projects.

This consultation was an important opportunity to ensure the voices of our communities are reflected in decisions that shape the future of healthcare and community care. Engaging in discussions like this is essential for our region as we work toward an integrated health system.

A big thank you to the members of our HPA-OHT who represented our collective at this consultation and shared valuable insights on behalf of our communities!
