This toolkit is designed to help member organizations engage fully with the HPA-OHT Pride Month initiative, supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and promoting inclusivity, diversity, and anti-racism. It includes communication templates, social media assets, posters, and guidelines to ensure consistent messaging and participation in the upcoming Pride festivals in June. As a member organization, you and your staff are invited to join us in celebration and solidarity under the collective banner of HPA-OHT.
1. Key Dates and Events
Regional Pride Festivals
Join us for two exciting Pride celebrations:
Stratford Pride Festival: Sunday, June 1, 2025
March starts at 1pm from Tom Patterson Theatre, followed by the festival at Upper Queen’s Park. A vibrant day full of festivities celebrating diversity and community visibility.Goderich Pride Festival: Saturday, June 7, 2025
9am – 5pm at Courthouse Square. Enjoy drag performances, live music, an artisan market, and a family pride area. A magical day of celebration for all ages, promoting inclusivity and fun!
Come celebrate with us at either or both events!
2. How to Get Involved
Festival Participation:
- Join HPA-OHT in the festivities. We’ll have a booth at both events where you can interact with the community, share resources, and help amplify the message of inclusion.
- Wear Pride colours and represent your organization under the collective HPA-OHT banner to show your solidarity and pride for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

5. Messaging Guidelines
Key Messages for Consistency:
- Support the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community: “Let’s stand together in Pride and support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Your presence makes a difference.”
- Commitment to Inclusion & Anti-Racism: “We are committed to creating a healthcare system that reflects the diversity and needs of the communities we serve.”
- Empowerment & Visibility: “Every voice counts in the fight for equality. Show your pride, support your community.”
Tone and Voice:
- Positive, empowering, and inclusive.
- Respectful and affirming language, especially for gender identity and sexual orientation.
6. How to Share Resources at the Festivals
HPA-OHT will provide resources for distribution at the Pride Festivals. This includes:
- Flyers and pamphlets highlighting HPA-OHT’s commitment to EIDA-R initiatives.
- Brochures on healthcare services for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Staff Guidelines for Engaging with the Public:
- Be friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable about HPA-OHT’s initiatives and the importance of Pride Month.
- Share stories, distribute materials, and engage in conversations about inclusivity and healthcare for marginalized communities.
