Why it Matters
Following the sunset of the HPA-OHT Board-to-Board Reference Group, the Huron Perth & Area Ontario Health Team (HPA-OHT) is introducing a new approach to system-wide knowledge sharing.
Strong communication is essential to building a shared sense of progress across our health system. This new approach is designed to ensure member and partner Boards of Directors feel informed, connected, and part of the OHT, while clearly understanding how system priorities and achievements translate into meaningful impact for people and communities. By focusing on relevance and shared storytelling, HPA-OHT aims to deepen engagement and highlight the collective value of our work.
Dig Deeper
The new approach aligns closely with HPA-OHT’s Communications Strategy and focuses on:
- Increasing comprehension and understanding of priority areas and system wins through “what this means for you and the system” updates
- Increasing engagement and participation through collaborative storytelling
Updates will be delivered through quarterly communication packages, including:
- Leadership briefs with accompanying PowerPoint decks for Board meetings
- Impact story packages (one story per strategic priority area, highlighting human outcomes and supporting metrics)
Next Steps
