Leverage Workforce & Board Surveys by Joining the Accreditation Collaborative

Audience: Leaders of HPA-OHT member organizations not yet part of the Accreditation Collaborative | Reading time: 2 minutes

Why it matters

Joining the Accreditation Collaborative gives your organization access to two essential assessment tools—the Global Workforce Survey and Governing Board Assessment—that provide valuable insights into your operations. These standardized surveys support integrated care by strengthening governance and workforce development across our health system while offering actionable data that drives both organizational improvements and system-wide coordination. The collaborative approach ensures higher response rates, more meaningful benchmarking, and shared learning opportunities that standalone surveys cannot match.

What’s happening

Over the next 2 months, the Accreditation Collaborative (AC) will be deploying two required surveys for Accreditation Canada compliance:

  • Global Workforce Survey (staff)
  • Governing Board Assessment (board)

Why this matters for your organization

If your organization is not part of the AC, please consider how your organization could benefit from a collaborative approach to workforce and board surveys that include:
Confidential, secure data collection through Accreditation Canada
Live dashboards to track response rates in real time—so you can boost participation before the surveys close
Clear, easy-to-interpret results with graphs and customizable reports

For AC members

  • You’ll get detailed, organization-level survey results to support your internal continuous improvement.
  • The results from the Collaborative will be compiled to inform shared workforce and governance strategies.

The big picture

These tools and processes aren’t just about meeting standards—they’re about advancing our collective goals:

  • Better governance across sectors
  • Stronger, more supported teams
  • Integrated planning that reduces duplication and strengthens shared accountability

This is foundational work for building a coordinated, people-centred care system.
