Celebrating Leadership Excellence: Brian Dunne Honoured with Order of Ontario

The Huron Perth & Area Ontario Health Team (HPA-OHT) is thrilled to celebrate the recent achievements of Brian Dunne, President and CEO of PHSS Medical & Complex Care in Community, for his outstanding contributions to home and community care across Ontario. Brian is very active in the Long-Term Care sector in Huron Perth & Area, where he continues to drive improvements in care quality and ensure individuals receive the supports they need to thrive.

Brian was recently named a recipient of the 2024 Order of Ontario, the province’s highest civilian honour, recognising his transformative work in supporting individuals with complex medical and developmental needs. Under his leadership, PHSS has grown from its founding in 1988 into a sector-leading organisation, employing over 750 staff and supporting nearly 400 individuals across 80 locations in Ontario. His steadfast commitment to enabling community inclusion has garnered international recognition for PHSS’s innovative, people-centred care model.

This is not the first time Brian’s leadership has been recognised. In 2015, he received the Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) Commitment to Leadership Award, an honour that celebrated his dedication to collaboration, visionary leadership, and his ability to inspire others across the health system.

These accolades reflect Brian’s lifetime of service, advocacy, and determination to ensure individuals with complex needs live in their communities with dignity and independence.

Please join us in congratulating Brian on these well-deserved honours. His leadership and passion embody the values we strive for as a collective health system.
