Join us for the Canadian Serious Illness Conversations training, a fully funded educational opportunity for healthcare professionals. This initiative is part of Ontario Health West’s strategy to bolster palliative care capabilities throughout the province. The course is aligned with the Model of Care for Adults Receiving Palliative Care in the Community and the Ontario Palliative Care Network’s Competency Framework.

Course Description

The Canadian Serious Illness Conversations course equips healthcare professionals with the essential skills to conduct meaningful and effective conversations with patients facing serious illnesses and their families. The course centers around the Serious Illness Conversation Guide©, developed by Ariadne Labs at Harvard Medical School, ensuring practitioners are well-prepared to address sensitive topics with compassion and empathy.

  • Enhance communication skills to discuss serious health conditions effectively.
  • Build confidence in navigating complex emotional and ethical issues.
