As part of a provincial project to make health services more accessible, Ontario Health Teams worked with the Ministry of Health to develop Health811. Health811 is a free, secure and confidential service Ontarians can call or access online 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive health advice from qualified health professionals, such as registered nurses, locate local health services and find trusted health information.

A free 24/7 confidential helpline for all community, social, health and government services. 211 applies a human touch for personalized solutions by using highly-trained and accredited Community Navigators that know how to ask the right questions to get the full picture of a person’s needs. Navigators then provide referrals to services to connect callers to the right supports.
